• Commitment to Our Customers

  Endesa's calling is the on-going search for excellence in serving our customers and committing ourselves to them and their needs.

  Endesa has reinforced the commitment to its customers through various actions, such as Quality Plan 2009, with the objective of reaching a level of excellence in sales attention. It also consolidated its Value Added Services line, adapting itself to the requirements of the new market environment.

• Commitment to Our People

  Endesa is aware that, for the success of its business project, it is fundamental that the aspirations of its employees be taken into account, and that their enthusiastic participation in this project be encouraged.

  Among the updates carried out in the area of workplace safety and health, the obtaining of the the OHSAS 18001 identification on the part of Endesa Generation and Endesa Distribution should be mentioned, along with training of occupational health leaders and training, update and dissemination programmes for health policies and programmes, among others.

• Commitment to Good Corporate Governance:

  We consider honesty and integrity to be core values of our business, and that these should guide our behaviour.

  The company has developed various programmes to reinforce the application of its corporate integrity norms. These are the Senior Management Statute, the Management Statute and the Employee Code of Conduct.

  We are firmly committed to the object of increasing the company's value and creating profitability for our investors, in the framework of relationships based upon the principals of loyalty and transparency.

  Endesa holds the seventh place in the ranking of utilities sector businesses with the best investor relations, carried out by the Benchmark 2009 study of Investor Relations.

• Commitment to the Environment

  Environmental conservation is a criterion permanently integrated into our company's management and decision-making processes.

  In this area, our business is aware of the need for the natural resource use to be based upon assuring the development of future generation, particularly in that related to the global problem of contaminating emissions. Proof of that is that the company's sustainable transportation development policy has changed and is based upon the electric vehicle and Vehicular Natural Gas. This forms one of the pillars of its Strategic Sustainability Plan 2008--2012.

• Commitment to Technology and Innovation

  We are aware that we use valuable natural resources and that the industrial processes central to our activities entail inevitable effects on surroundings.

  That is why we try to use the cleanest and most efficient technologies available and we direct our technological research and investigation capacity towards the reduction of these effects at a local and global level, and towards obtaining improvements in energy savings.

  Endesa has reinforced its technological innovation activities through diverse actions, among them elaboration of the 2009-2014 Technological Plan, the technological project SmartCity, the push for remote management and intelligent meters, and the initiatives related to the electric car or the Store and Cenit Verde projects.

• Sustainability Commitment: Our Collaborators

  At Endesa we are aware that a supply of energy is basic for community development and well-being.

  With the aim of extending our sustainability commitments to the supply chain, Endesa carried out, among other actions, the launch of the Supplier Certification System, the review of the General Contacting Conditions, communication to strategic suppliers regarding Endesa's commitment to the United Nations Global Pact and the extension of the principals of the Code of Conduct to the supply chain.
