Installation of the Power Control Switch (
ICP) is obligatory in homes and stores with a contracted capacity of
15 KW or more, according to
Royal Decree 1454/2005. In the case that said installation has not occurred, regulations stipulate a
fine on the electricity bill, as set forth in the second additional provision of
Order ITC/1559/2010.
The Power Control Switch (
ICP) is a
device that controls the maximum power capacity contracted with the electric company. The installer installs it based upon the capacity contracted, and it is sealed. Avoid damage to the installation in the case of overload. The ICP jumps automatically and disconnects the installation when the appliance capacity demand exceeds the capacity contracted.
