This section shows the logo, corporate name, tax identification number and registered address of Endesa Energía, your Reseller Company. It also informs you that it is an electricity bill.

2. Electricity bill details.-

Here you will find all the details that identify this bill and which you will need should you have any queries concerning the bill.

• Bill number: Tax identification number for this bill.

• Reference: This is the code for this bill. It is made up of the contract number, followed by the relevant bill sequence number.

• Bill issue date: The date on which this bill was issued.

• Billing period: Time interval billed.

  • If you pay by direct debit, it shows the date on which your bill will be charged to your account.

  • If you do not pay by direct debit, it shows the deadline for paying this bill.

3. Name and address of the bill receiver.-

This includes the personal details (name and address) of the contract titleholder; the person that receives the bill.

4. Bill summary and payment details.-

This shows a summary of the items billed and the total sum of your bill. You will find an explanation of how each item is calculated on the back of your bill (page 2 of 4) in the Bill itemisation section.

• Contracted power: Total sum that you pay for your contracted power: The power you should contract depends on the type of electrical installation you have and how you use your electrical appliances in your home or business premises. The power has a fixed price, regardless of consumption. If you would like to calculate how much power we suggest you should use, you can do so with our power calculator.

• Energy consumed: Total sum that you pay for the energy consumed, i.e., for your electricity consumption.

• Electricity tax: This is the tax applied to electricity by the Ministry of Industry.

• Lease of metering and controlling equipment: This outlines the cost of renting the metering and controlling equipment.

• Applicable tax: VAT is applied (Value Added Tax) or IGIC (Canary Island General Indirect Tax) as applicable.

• Total Bill Amount: This is the total amount to be paid including taxes.

Other items:

Your bill may include other items, depending on the specific bill or your contracted tariff:

• Adjustment and other items: This item includes costs associated with possible adjustments.

• Contracting rights: This refers to the cost for extension and access rights.

You will also find information about your method of payment:

• If you pay by direct debit: It will indicate the account number that the bill payment will be charged to and the date on which it will be charged.

• If you do not pay by direct debit: It will include a bar code for you to pay your bill over the counter.

5. Power consumption information.-

Here you will find detailed information about your power consumption:

• Your meter’s current reading and previous reading (real or estimated). If you are adhered to the time restriction tariff (TR), it will include a column with your consumption for each period. See example.

• Consumption during the period in kWh, which is your consumption during the billed period and it is calculated as the difference between the current reading and the previous reading.

• Graph outlining your consumption pattern over the last 14 months, including information about real and estimated readings, if you have an estimated reading in any month.

• And lastly, you will find the sum in euros of your average daily consumption for the billed period, your average daily consumption over the last 14 months and your accumulated consumption over the last year in kWh.

6. Infoenergía.-

infoEnergia is the first energy information and consultancy service for Endesa customers. It allows you to know your consumption for this bill, the average consumption in your town, your consumption patterns according to different seasons, etc.

7. Contract details.-

This section includes the main details of the contract titleholder and other details of interest concerning your contract:

• Main details of the contract titleholder: Name and Tax Identification Number.

• Point of supply address: Contract postal address for this bill.

• Contracted product: Name of the contract tariff applicable to this bill.

• Contracted power: Your contracted power.

• Universal Supply Point Code (CUPS): This is a unique code that identifies your supply point. It is headed by the sequence “ES” followed by 20 characters, numbers or letters. You will need to provide this information should you have any queries concerning your bill or your contract.

• Meter number: This is the meter identifier number that the Distributing Company uses to measure your consumed energy.

• Contract reference: Your contract number with Endesa Energía.

• Your Reseller Company: Name of the Reseller Company (the company you have your contract with), in this case, Endesa Energía S.A.U.

• Your Distributing Company: Name of the Distributing Company (in charge of supplying power to your home or business premises).

• Access contract reference: Contract number with the Distributing Company.

• Access toll: This is the tariff paid by the Reseller Company to the Distributing Company for using the distribution network. This tariff is established by the Government.

• End of the supply contract: Date on which this contract ends. This information is merely a reminder for information purposes only. The contract is automatically renewed on a yearly basis unless otherwise specified.

8. Bill itemisation.-

This section explains and outlines all the billed items and amounts:

1. Billing for contracted power.-

   This is the amount you pay for your contracted power. It is calculated by multiplying the contracted kW by the kW price of your tariff and by the number of days included in the billing period. This amount includes and outlines items billed for the access toll, which is the payment made for using the distribution networks.

2. Billing for energy consumed.-

   Total sum you pay for the energy consumed. This is obtained by multiplying the kW consumed during the billing period by the kWh price of the contracted tariff. This amount includes and outlines items billed for the access toll, which is the payment made for using the distribution networks.

The sum of the items outlined in points 1 and 2 of is reflected in the 1^st Subtotal

Below is a list of other items:

3. Discounts: If you have a discount on the fixed or variable price depending on your contracted tariff.

5. Electricity taxes: This is the tax applied to electricity as established by the Government. It is calculated via a pre-established formula.

6. Lease of metering and controlling equipment: This is the sum that is paid for the lease of the meter. If you own this equipment, you shall not be charged for this item.

The sum of the items outlined in points 3, 4 and 5 is reflected in the 2^nd Subtotal (other items).

  • Costs of transport and distribution networks: This is the cost derived from building and maintaining the facilities that transport and distribute electricity.

  • Other regulated costs: This is the amount allocated to other costs, for example, the tariff deficit.

• Applicable taxes: These are taxes paid to the Government for VAT / IGIC on bills and for electricity tax.
