This includes a summary of the items billed and the total sum of your bill. You will find an explanation of how each item is calculated on the back of your bill under the Bill itemisation section.

Energy: Total sum that you pay for the energy consumed, i.e., for your gas consumption.

Services and other items: This
includes the discounts (if applicable) applied to the type of gas
contract you have. It also includes other items such as the lease of the
gas metering equipment and the Hydrocarbons Tax*.

Tax applied: This outlines the cost of renting the metering and controlling equipment.

Applicable tax: VAT (Value Added Tax) is applied or IGIC (Canary Island General Indirect Tax) as applicable.

Total Bill Amount: This is the total amount to be paid including taxes.
You will also find information about your method of payment:

If you pay by direct debit: It will indicate the account number to which the bill payment will be charged and the date on which it will be charged.

If you do not pay by direct debit: It will include a bar code for you to pay your bill over the counter.

Hydrocarbons tax for all gas consumers. This was applied to consumption
when it came into force on 1 January 2013 and the tax rate may be
general or reduced depending on the consumption use:
Domestic use – General tax (0,00234€/kWh)
Professional use – Reduced tax (0,00054€/kWh)
