What is the electronic DNI?

The electronic DNI (ID card no.), in addition to the information found in a traditional DNI, incorporates a tiny chip capable of securely storing information and processing it internally. This chip contains, on one hand, the same information that appears printed on the DNI (personal data, photo, image of the written signature and fingerprint) and, on the other, the Authentication and Electronic Signature certificates. The DNI-e is a document that certifies the identity of each citizen, as well as allowing for the signature of all types of electronic documents.

What do I need to access the Electronic DNI?

In order to use your electronic DNI for Endesa processes, you will need to have the following installed on your computer:

  • A card reader device suitable for the reading to the electronic DNI.
  • The software provided by the General Police Headquarters.
  • A web browser compatible with the previous software.

In order to access My Endesa, you can identify yourself through the link Access With DNIe on the customer access page or by clicking on the Customer Access button located on the upper left-hand side of your screen.

Click on the With your electronic DNI link and enter your private code. By entering with your electronic DNI, you won't need to remember or use complicated passwords or user IDs. You can access all of your information with just one click.
