What is the One Tariff?

Endesa’s One tariff is a new way of understanding your energy contract, where you will benefit from one price for all the energy you consume and one price for the power; you will be able to carry out all your processes online. You will always enjoy a competitive price and not only during the first year. We are offering you Endesa’s best online price.
  • One is a 100% online tariff, which will enable you to carry out all your processes in an easy and simple manner, 24 hours per day, in the "Customer Area" section on the online office or by downloading our mobile application.
  • You can simply sign up for what you need, without having to subscribe to additional services but with the possibility of doing so if you wish.
  • There is no minimum commitment period.
  • You will receive an email indicating the date and the link via which you will be able to access your electronic bill as soon as it is available.
  • A simple, easy and cost-free way of contracting the service and without any supply interruptions.
  • You will receive an email indicating the date and the link via which you will be able to access your electronic bill as soon as it is available.
  • This is a tariff for ALL customers, both new and existing customers.

What are the advantages of the One Tariff?

  • You will benefit from Endesa’s best online price.
  • You will be able to carry out all your processes entirely online.
  • If you pay more on your first bill, we will refund the difference (valid for new contracts with Endesa Energía).
  • No minimum commitment period.

The One Tariff is valid for supplies with 2.0DHA or 2.1DHA access tariffs. They are also called time restriction tariffs. For One Gas, the access tariff is 3.1 or 3.2.

Imagen

What exactly is a time restriction tariff?

This is the tariff in which the price of electricity varies according to the time at which electricity is used. The aim is to avoid electricity peak demand times, rewarding users that transfer their electricity usage from peak hours to off-peak hours, which is when the production and the distribution of electricity is cheaper.

If users can transfer most of their electricity consumption to lower demand times (in the morning and in the evening) they will benefit from significant discounts on the price of electricity. On the other hand, they will have a surcharge applied to electricity consumption during peak electricity demand hours, which should be taken into account to avoid paying more money.

To be billed with time restriction tariffs, customers must have a meter installed that enables consumption to be distinguished during the different time periods.

Off-peak hours are those in which the price of electricity is at its cheapest, on the other hand, peak-hours are when electricity is at its most expensive.

What kind of meter should I have if I want to contract the One tariff service?

In order to sign up for this tariff, your access tariff should be 2.0DHA or 2.1DHA, which means having a smart meter to be able to differentiate between peak hours and off-peak hours. If you have a remote management meter integrated within the system, you simply have to re-programme it; if you have an analogue meter but which differentiates two periods (with time restriction) you will not need to change anything; and if you have an analogue meter that does not differentiate the hourly segments, it will need to be changed for one of the new meters.

These meter adjustments (changing or reprogramming) have an associated cost of €9.04 + taxes, however, Endesa will carry out the entire process and assume this cost, provided you are signing up for the One Luz contract.

Imagen

Who will change or re-programme the meter?

You do not have to worry about a thing, we will carry out all the necessary procedures and your distribution company will change or re-programme the meter when requested by Endesa.

Imagen

How much does it cost to change or re-programme the meter?

The change of access tariff costs €9.04 + VAT (+IGIC in the Canary Islands). This cost is officially regulated and it is called the “Connection Charge”. You do not have to pay the operator that changes the meter as the cost is included in your electricity bill. It is worth changing it, as you will more than offset this cost with the savings obtained with the tariff.

Imagen

If necessary, when will my meter be changed?

If the meter is one of the old types, an operator will visit your home/business within one or two weeks to change the meter, or to re-programme it, depending on the model. If the operator must change it, you will be informed as the power has to be interrupted for a few minutes (approximately 5 minutes) while the meter is removed and the new one is installed. If it is a new meter (smart meter) and it is already connected, the change is carried out remotely and nobody will need to physically change the meter. The change will be carried out within one or two weeks.

Imagen

How can I see if my meter has been changed?

If your meter was an old model, you will notice that the new device is more modern, it will have a digital screen. If you already had a digital model, you will notice a screen with changing data. You need to look at the code that appears: If 1.18.1 and then 1.18.2 appears, it means that the two-time period tariff has been activated. 1.18.1 is the reading for peak hours and 1.18.2 is the reading for off-peak hours.

On some meters 1.18.3 may appear instead of 1.18.2 for your off-peak consumption, but what is important is that only two codes appear 1.18.x)

Imagen

What if I want to change to another tariff?

You can change tariff at any point, since the One Tariff does not have a minimum commitment period.

Imagen

And what if I want to lower the power?

You can do so. The new power needs to be normalised for your voltage. It does not involve additional costs; the same connection charges are valid for the change of tariff, meter and power.

Imagen

And what if I want to increase the power?

You can do so. The new power needs to be normalised for your voltage. In this case it does involve an additional cost for contract rights. We can give you an approximate figure but your distribution company will tell you the exact costs. This cost will be included in Endesa’s electricity bill. The change of power is carried out simultaneously with the rest of the changes to be carried out:

  • Extension rights: 17,374714 €/kW
  • Access rights: 19,703137 €/kW

If your report or electrical installation certificate (CIE for its Spanish acronym) indicates that the maximum power available for your home or premises is below the power you want to contract, or if it is more than 20 years old, you will have to speak to your installer to change your report or CIE. Some distribution companies may agree to inspect the installation themselves, in which case they will charge supervision rights: €101,52.

  • Deposit: Estimated consumption for one month.

These costs are only paid once, when the power is increased.

Imagen

Why do I have to reduce or increase my power?

If the power you have now is not normalised pursuant to new regulations, you will have to reduce it or increase it to bring it into line with a normalised power. Only the following powers are accepted:

  • Single-phase 230V
  • Three-phase 3x230/400V
  • Three-phase 3x133/230V (old but they do still exist)

How does the price of my One Tariff contract change?

The price of the One Tariff contract is updated on the 1st of January after you have contracted the service with the real CPI value (Last inter-annual rate for the general Consumer Price Index published officially at the time of the update) and by variations to the current regulated components that are applicable to electricity and gas supplies and any possible new regulatory changes that may be approved in the future.

If there are any changes to the price of your contract, these shall be transferred to the customer upwards or downwards. These types of modifications are regulated and beyond the control of Endesa and are applied throughout Spain and to all companies.

In addition, the price may be reviewed after one year of the contract. This would take place in April or in October of each year. If there were any changes, we would inform you of these at least one month before. Remember that you can terminate the contract at any point and contract another Endesa tariff or that of any other company.

Imagen

What are regulated components?

It is a part of the price you pay for the contracted or fixed power and for the consumption on your electricity and gas bill. This amount is mainly used for maintaining infrastructures, which enables us to provide your home with electricity and gas.

This part of the price is established by the government and it is the same for all companies and throughout Spain.

They are normally updated and published in the Official State Gazette (BOE) once a year, although this may take place at any other time.

The prices for the lease of the metering and controlling equipment (meter) are also regulated and electricity and hydrocarbon taxes (for gas), VAT, IGIC, etc.

Most companies, when there are any changes to these regulated components, transfer these to their customers, either upwards or downwards.

Imagen

Is there a minimum commitment period with the One Tariff contract?

Imagen

Imagen

What can I sign up for with the One Tariff?

You can combine the ONE Tariff with other products or services according to your requirements. If you would like to learn more about these services, you can do so via the following links:

Imagen

When will I receive my first bill?

Once you have completed the online registration form and your request has been processed, the contract activation period will take approximately 3 weeks (if you are already with Endesa Energía this change will be much quicker).

Once the contract with Endesa has been activated, you will receive the last bill with your previous company (if you were already with Endesa it will be the last bill with your previous tariff). You will receive your first bill once the first billing period with Endesa has elapsed.

Imagen

How often will I receive my bills?

Normally you will receive energy bills every two months based on real readings, i.e. you will be billed according to your real energy consumption obtained from your supply meter reading.

Note: If, for any reason, the reader cannot access your meter, the reading will have to be estimated. This only tends to happen if the meter is inside the house and nobody is in to provide access to it. You can also provide your reading yourself via our website. This is another feature offered with the One Tariff.
