When will the new billing per hour system begin to be applied?

When will the new billing per hour system begin to be applied?

Pursuant to the provisions of Resolution of 2 June 2015, by the Secretary of State for Energy, Reference Reseller Company until 1 October 2015 to start billing their customers on an hourly basis.

Remember that in order to be billed per hour you must have a smart meter installed integrated into the remote management systems and a contract with a Reference Reseller Company and a contracted power of less than or equivalent to 10kW.

If you have a smart meter but it is not integrated yet, you will still be billed by applying the average consumer profile, created by the Red Eléctrica based on consumer behaviour patterns.

Before 2019 all smart meters will be integrated in to the remote management systems and therefore all households with VPSC will be billed per hour.

You can find out how you are being billed by clicking on this link.
